Building successful partnerships for the field and family

About

About

Rosie Sampson

I am, first and foremost, invested in good relationships between dog and handler and thoroughly enjoy exploring what a partnership can achieve when we get it right. Being the third generation of dog trainer in the family, you could say that I have been training dogs for as long as I can remember, but I first owned and trained my own some 16 years ago!

Since then, I have been lucky enough to learn from wonderfully experienced trainers and handlers, work my team consistently in the field for over a decade, train a wonderful range of client dogs and progress into trialling my springer. There is so much discourse about the falling standards of working dogs and I love to challenge that. I am proud of the team I take out into the field, whether on a local farm shoot, to run a demo at a country fair or to a test or trial.

Although skilled athletes in the field, my dogs are also part of our family. The skills we train for in the field make them an enjoyable character at home, to take on a walk or to the pub. I fully believe that a fulfilled dog with clear boundaries and an understanding of the expected behaviours is a happy dog and I will work with you to achieve this. Whether you need help getting started, tackling a particular training issue or preparing to work in the field - let's have a chat and make a plan to get you there.
